Why Patients Choose Our Clinic

当院の強み

White spot lesions are a sensitive concern that affect not only overall appearance but also a patient’s smile and self-confidence. At our clinic, our focus is not simply to make white spot lesions disappear, but to provide the most appropriate individualized diagnosis and treatment planning tailored to each patient, aiming to achieve natural color harmony, surface gloss, and minimized risk of recurrence.

Chosen for White Spot Treatment: Seven Reasons to Choose Us

One of the Highest Numbers of Icon Treatment Cases in Japan

Extensive experience in Icon treatment

Our clinic officially introduced Icon treatment in 2020 and has since performed over 1,000 to 2,000 cases.

While the number of cases is significant, what we value most is not the “quantity,” but our “commitment to each individual patient’s case” and the “quality of the treatment results.”

Our extensive knowledge and experience allow us to accurately diagnose whether Icon is truly suitable, and our strengths lie in achieving natural-looking results and handling difficult cases.

Expertise Built on Both Icon Clinical Practice and Research

Doctor of Dental Science degree

Our director, Dr. Ibusuki, originally studied as a researcher specializing in white spot lesions. He obtained his Ph.D. from the Tokyo Medical and Dental University Graduate School for his research on white spot lesions. In clinical practice, he has been dedicated to Icon treatment since 2020 and now holds one of the highest numbers of case records in Japan.

Furthermore, he has been appointed as an official Icon instructor by Yoshida Co., Ltd., the domestic distributor, and is recognized as a KOL (Key Opinion Leader) by DMG Germany, the global dental manufacturer of Icon. His expertise and clinical skills are highly regarded both in Japan and internationally.

Because he balances his roles as both an instructor and a clinical practitioner, our clinic is fully prepared to handle any case with confidence.

A Japanese Doctor Recognized Worldwide

Japanese Dentist

Dr. Ibusuki’s research achievements and clinical techniques have received high international acclaim. In 2024, he was the only Asian dentist selected for the “Top 10 Dentists of 2024” by the U.S. medical magazine Disruptors Magazine. This achievement is a testament to his years of case research and technical refinement, which are highly valued globally.

He has accumulated an overwhelming number of cases, even for difficult white spot lesions that are generally considered hard to treat without drilling. He has been appointed as a KOL (Key Opinion Leader *1) for Japan by DMG Germany and conducts numerous seminars and technical training sessions both domestically and internationally, striving to promote the widespread use of white spot treatment.

*1: What is a KOL (Key Opinion Leader)?

KOL stands for “Key Opinion Leader,” referring to experts such as physicians who have significant influence in a specific field. These KOLs are expected to play a role in promoting the latest treatment techniques and information on materials by demonstrating appropriate treatment policies, which in turn greatly influences other practicing dentists. Furthermore, manufacturers highly value the opinions of KOLs when developing pharmaceutical materials and applying for regulatory approvals.

Handling Difficult Cases and Those Declined by Other Clinics

Patient satisfied with treatment for difficult case

Many patients come to our clinic after having been “turned down by other clinics” or being “dissatisfied with previous treatments.”

While Icon treatment is not suitable for every white spot, with proper diagnosis, pre-treatment, and treatment design, improvement may be possible even in cases generally considered difficult.

In many instances where other clinics proposed “drilling treatments” (such as direct bonding or laminate veneers), we have successfully achieved improvement using “drill-free treatment” centered on Icon.

Before you give up thinking it cannot be fixed, please consult us.

Commitment to Drill-Free Treatment

Dental Icon

In our white spot treatments, we place great importance on “avoiding drilling the teeth as much as possible.” Prioritizing aesthetic improvement by drilling can potentially compromise the health of the teeth.

Therefore, we focus on non-invasive treatments using Icon, aiming to achieve a natural appearance while preserving the tooth structure. While Icon alone may be difficult for some cases, we address them by combining other treatment methods to ensure the procedure remains as minimally invasive as possible.

Flexible Care for Patients Traveling from Afar

Shinkansen and Airplane

We welcome patients not only from the Tokyo metropolitan area, but also from Kansai, Tohoku, Kyushu, and other regions across Japan for white spot treatment. For eligible cases, we can accommodate 1-Day (same-day) treatment to help minimize travel burden.

A precise diagnosis requires an in-person examination, and final determination of treatment eligibility and a detailed explanation of potential risks will be provided during your visit. If you live far away and are seeking a drill-free solution, please feel free to contact us.
